Job summary

Dexcom Ireland is seeking an Engineering Technician 3 to support equipment engineers in scaling up Dexcom CGM manufacturing. You will test, troubleshoot, assemble, and validate automated equipment, collaborate with outside suppliers, and help meet project timelines.

The role requires 5–8 years of related experience, strong PLC/automation knowledge, and solid technical writing. You will operate robotic systems, document results, and support process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

Typically requires a Level 6/7 qualification plus 5–8 years of related experience.
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical documents related to equipment specifications.
Ability to write routine reports, pass-downs and correspondence.
Strong communication skills with supervisors, engineers and managers.
Knowledge and experience with PLC and automated production/process equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electro/mechanical systems.
Experience with process improvement projects to reduce downtime and improve yields.

Responsibilities

Test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies using test equipment.
Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.
Analyse and record test results, and prepare documentation.
Perform operational tests and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.
Support equipment development under supervision of the project engineer.
Update equipment documentation (manuals, drawings, specifications) as needed.
