Job summary

Senneca is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee negotiation, drafting, and administration of contracts across Europe. You will ensure compliance with laws and standards while minimizing risk and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include leading contract negotiations, managing performance, and producing regular status reports to senior management.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of industry experience in contracts.
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, construction or related field.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
  • Proven experience negotiating and managing complex contracts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of contract, employment, compliance and regulatory law across Europe.
  • Able to locate, communicate and document information effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; contract management software; BIM navigation and technical drawing interpretation.
  • Willingness to learn Manufacturing/ERP systems and CAD viewing programs.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Holder of a full clean driver’s license.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented and able to handle high-pressure situations.
  • High integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess and mitigate potential contractual risks.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, finance, supply chain and project management for smooth contract execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and vendors.
  • Lead efforts to resolve contractual issues promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare regular reports on contract status, risks and compliance for senior management.
  • Maintain clear contract documentation and ensure easy access for stakeholders.
  • Recommend improvements to contract processes and policies to enhance efficiency and risk management.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Contracts Manager to oversee the management, negotiation and administration of contracts across multiple projects within Europe. The successfulcandidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements,minimizing risks, and fostering strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, clients, andstakeholders.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the negotiation, drafting, and review of contracts with clients, suppliers andsubcontractors.

  • Ensure contracts are aligned with the company’s objectives and legal standards, identifyingpotential risks and opportunities.

  • Manage and track contract performance, ensuing all obligations are met in a timelymanner.

  • Ensure compliance with local, national and European regulations, laws, and industrystandards.

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts.

  • Identify, assess and mitigate potential contractual risks.

  • Work closely with internal departments including engineering, sales, finance, supply chain andproject management, to ensure smooth contract execution and resolution of any issues.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and vendors.

  • Lead efforts to resolve any contractual issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Prepare regular reports on contract status, risks, and compliance to senior management.

  • Maintain clear and accurate contract documentation and ensure easy access for relevantstakeholders.

Requirements


  • Minimum 5-7 years experience within industry.

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in an engineering, construction or related field.

  • Fluency in English is required: proficiency in other European languages is an advantage.

  • Proven experience in negotiating & managing complex contracts.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Strong understanding of contract law, employment law, compliance and regulatory frameworks across Europe.

  • Able to effectively locate, communicate, and document information.

  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, contract management software, ability to navigate BIM & interprate technical drawings.

  • Able to learn Manufacturing/ERP system, and CAD Viewing programs.

  • Ability to travel to project sites as necessary.

  • Full Clean drivers license.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to handle high-pressure situations.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
