Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join one of our client's construction teams based in Dublin.

The Contracts Manager will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring contracts are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality and Health & Safety standards.

This is a senior position with responsibility across project delivery, commercial performance, client relationships and site management.

Role and Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery and smooth running of projects.
• Manage projects through the full contract lifecycle.
• Ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget and to specification.
• Work closely with the Quantity Surveying team on all financial and commercial aspects.
• Liaise with the Health & Safety team to ensure compliance across all projects.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with relevant Health & Safety procedures.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery.
• Attend and lead site and project meetings as required.
• Provide clear direction to site teams and develop short-term project plans.
• Report regularly to senior management on project progress, performance and key issues.
• Ensure all contractual obligations are understood and adhered to.
• Monitor the performance of site personnel and subcontractors, taking action where required to keep projects on target.
• Ensure appropriate resources are available to support successful project delivery.
• Provide leadership and support to Site Management teams.
• Ensure company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are implemented across projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry.
• Strong background in main contractor construction is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience managing construction projects through the full project lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and contractual obligations.
• Excellent understanding of project programming, commercial management and cost control.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within construction.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate Site Managers, project teams and subcontractors.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work closely with Quantity Surveyors.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong client and stakeholder-management experience.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
