Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee transactional data flows across multi-entity supply chains to ensure accounting integrity.
• Lead month-end close including balance sheet reconciliation and intercompany postings.
• Support indirect tax compliance, VAT reporting, and internal controls.
• Troubleshoot ERP and invoice-processing issues; assist with testing and process improvements.
• Assist auditors during financial reviews as main point of contact.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, adaptable Accountant to join our Cork team on a 12-month temporary contract. In this role, you will support end-to-end financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, period-end closes, account reconciliations, indirect tax compliance, and ERP system data integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations: Oversee transactional data flows across multi-entity supply chains to ensure accounting integrity.
• Month-End Close: Lead balance sheet and account reconciliations, post journal entries, and monitor intercompany transactions.
• Tax & Compliance: Support indirect tax compliance, VAT reporting, and internal controls.
• Systems Support: Troubleshoot ERP and invoice-processing errors and assist with system testing and process improvements.
• Audit Support: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external auditors during financial reviews.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3+ years of finance/accounting experience in a corporate environment (multi-national experience a plus).
• Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle Financials or similar) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups).
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
