Job summary

ABM Contractors Ltd, based in Swords, Co. Dublin, is seeking a Recruitment and HR Manager to attract, recruit and retain talent for construction and engineering projects. You will lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and employee relations, collaborating with HR Duo for compliance and support.

You will build candidate pipelines, define role requirements, and collaborate with site managers to meet workforce needs while driving engagement and retention initiatives across the business.

Qualifications

• At least 3 to 5 years’ recruitment experience in construction, engineering or another technical sector combined with strong generalist knowledge including employee relations.
• Track record of managing multiple vacancies across professional, technical and site roles.
• Experience using an applicant tracking system and recruitment data.
• Confidence advising and influencing managers at all levels.
• A full driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a recruitment and workforce plan aligned with project and business needs.
• Lead recruitment from start to finish for management, professional, technical and site roles.
• Work with managers to define role requirements and write job descriptions.
• Build direct sourcing, referral, graduate and apprenticeship pipelines, and manage agency relationships.
• Build ABM’s employer brand so we attract the right people.
• Track and report on recruitment metrics such as time to fill, cost per hire and quality of hire, and use them to improve how we recruit.
• Lead onboarding and probation so new starters settle in well.
• Support managers on attendance, performance, conduct and grievances, with guidance from HR Duo.
• Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives, using exit interviews and feedback.
• Maintain employee records and manage core HR processes through the HR Duo system.
