Job summary

ABM Ireland seeks a Facilities Manager to lead technical facilities services across a large multi-site estate in Ireland, based in Dublin with travel to sites nationwide. You will drive service delivery, compliance, and client satisfaction while building strong relationships with stakeholders.

The role requires a solid M&E background, 5+ years in FM, and the ability to manage PM and reactive maintenance, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Liaise with local client stakeholders and maintain effective communications.

• Support development of systems and processes for efficient service delivery.
• Schedule and complete Planned Maintenance with follow-on works.
• Monitor infrastructure, plant, and equipment and arrange maintenance as required.
• Provide management support outside normal hours as part of on-call process.
• Assist recruitment in line with budgets and policies.

Job description

ABM is currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to join our team for an immediate start. The role is based in Dublin and involves travel to multiple sites across Ireland. Applications are welcome from candidates living anywhere in Ireland who are willing and able to travel.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, organised, and energetic professional with a strong mechanical and electrical (M&E) background to further develop their career within a fast-growing organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective delivery of technical facilities services across a large multi-site estate for one of Irelands most prestigious brands, ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance, client satisfaction, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Service Provision

• Liaise with local client stakeholders, building relationships and maintaining effective lines of communication
• Effectively manage services to ensure that exemplary service delivery
• Ensuring that SLAs and KPIs are consistently achieved across Reactive and Planned Maintenance activities
• Manage and resolve client and end user escalations promptly and efficiently.
• Support Development and improvement of systems and processes for efficient service delivery across the estate
• Ensuring Planned Maintenance services are scheduled and completed on time with follow on works raised
• Managing client/end user escalations and queries
• Monitoring infrastructure and plant/equipment and arranging maintenance/preventative maintenance as appropriate
• Monitor infrastructure, plant, and equipment and arrange maintenance as required
• Make informed recommendations regarding service improvements and contractor performance
• Provide management support outside normal working hours as part of the escalation and on-call process
• Support recruitment activities in line with operational budgets and company recruitment policies.
• Ensure QHSE documentation is maintained, accurate, and readily available.

Skills and Experience

• Fluent English speaker with full permission to work in Ireland
• Relevant national qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, or building services trade.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing multi-site facilities management services
• Strong mechanical and electrical background.
• Proven experience managing PPM and reactive maintenance programmes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make decisions independently.

Desired Qualifications:

• Safety Management Cert.

Desired Experience:

• Proven track record in Bid writing and tendering.
• Up to date understanding of legislation relevant to the role.
• Understanding of statutory legislation e.g. L*, IS3217 etc.
• Small works project management
• Experience in mobilising large multi-site FM contracts

Desired Skills:

• Excellent communicator, able to convey information in a clear, simple and warm manner.
• Proven track record in sales and/or FM operations particularly at a senior level.
• Accomplished problem solver, ability to support proposal of contract reengineering.
• Able to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Strong MS office and PowerPoint skills, use of CAFM, Power BI.
