A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to lead large-scale, high-profile construction projects and work with an experienced team in a supportive environment.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of your project from pre-start through to handover, managing programme, construction operations, design, procurement, quality, health & safety and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
- Manage planning, programming, site operations, logistics, procurement and resources.
- Develop, monitor and update the construction programme, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures.
- Coordinate design management, technical submissions, approvals and design deliverables.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and project resources to ensure programme and quality requirements are achieved.
- Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor on commercial performance, forecasting and monthly project reporting.
- Lead and manage the project team, including delegation, mentoring and development of staff.
- Chair regular site, progress and QA meetings, ensuring actions are recorded and followed through.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, environmental requirements and company policies.
- Oversee project quality assurance, inspections, testing and subcontractor quality performance.
- Ensure appropriate site records, documentation and reporting are maintained.
- Assist with tenders, construction methodologies and pre-construction activities where required.
- Ensure BC(A)R, BIM, M&E and technical requirements are effectively managed throughout the project.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within a main contracting environment.
- Strong track record delivering large-scale construction projects from pre-start to completion.
- Excellent knowledge of construction programming, site operations, procurement and subcontractor management.
- Strong understanding of design management, quality assurance and health & safety.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to delegate and mentor others.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience working closely with Quantity Surveyors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction planning software such as MS Project.
- Knowledge of BC(A)R, BIM and M&E coordination would be advantageous.
