Job summary

The Kerry Parents and Friends Association is seeking a compassionate Social Care Worker to support adults with intellectual disabilities in Rathmore Residential Services. This part-time, specified-purpose role focuses on person-centred care, rights-based practice, and community inclusion.

You will work with a team to deliver high-quality care, document progress, and participate in ongoing development while adhering to HIQA and GDPR standards.

Qualifications

• Passion for promoting and empowering those you support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organisation.
• Deep understanding of rights-based and person-centred approaches to support.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate person-centred support and advocacy aligned to each individual’s goals.
• Assist with daily living, mobility, and personal care while promoting independence.
• Document daily records, progress notes and risk assessments in line with policies.
• Collaborate with a team and external agencies to ensure holistic care and service development.
