Kerry Parents and Friends Association invites applications for a Part-Time Support Worker at Killarney Day Services 1. The role focuses on person-centred support for an adult with complex needs, delivering holistic care across living, social and community tasks.

You will document care plans, liaise with internal teams, and ensure high standards of dignity, respect and autonomy, while supporting skills development and community inclusion.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent with at least 1 year experience with adults with intellectual disability.
• Applications considered from candidates who have completed at least 1 year of Nursing or Social Care degree.
• Strong commitment to rights-based, person-centred support, GDPR compliance and Health & Safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to a male individual with complex needs.
• Plan goals addressing personal, social, recreational, and independent living needs.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports with GDPR compliance.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop responsive care plans.
• Facilitate life skills development through activities and training for independence.
