Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort in Leinster is recruiting a Commis Chef to join the kitchen team, assisting with washing, peeling and chopping ingredients and daily preparation of sandwiches and soups under the Chef de Partie.

The role requires a passion for food, basic English, and flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Accommodation assistance is provided; meals on duty are included.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a kitchen assistant/commis chef.
• Knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
• Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification, or current student of Culinary Arts.
• Passion and genuine interest in food.
• Flexibility in working hours: mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Good command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meal ingredients, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
• Daily preparation of fresh sandwiches and soups.
• Set up for lunch and dinner according to the Chef de Partie's instruction.
• Ensure that food from own station is delivered on time.
• Perform basic cleaning duties and keep workstations sanitised according to HACCP regulation.
