Job summary

Cumming Group Ireland Ltd in Dublin seeks a Commercial Manager to join our Dublin-based team. You will lead commercial management of major infrastructure projects, support the NEC4 Project Manager, and oversee a high-performing commercial team.

This is a hybrid role with work-from-home flexibility. The role requires at least 10+ years in commercial management on high-value projects, a relevant degree, and MRICS (or equivalent) preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction, quantity surveying, cost management, engineering, or equivalent.
• MRICS (or equivalent) preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Commercial Manager to join our Dublin-based team. This role will involve working as part of a team responsible for the commercial management of major infrastructure projects across Ireland. You will support the NEC4 Project Manager by providing strategic direction and overseeing a high-performing commercial management team within the client organisation.

This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home and our Dublin office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or support bid and tender preparation and contribute to business development activities.
• Oversee day-to-day project delivery and operate autonomously where required.
• Monitor project budgets and resource utilisation.
• Ensure effective change control processes are applied.
• Deliver cost management outputs to a high quality, on time and within budget.
• Prepare budget estimates, cost plans, tender documents, and client reports.
• Provide procurement and contract advice.
• Administer contracts, including valuations, forecasting, reporting, and attending project meetings.
• Support the implementation of strategic initiatives across service lines.
• Mentor and coach junior team members and contribute to staff development.
• Ensure compliance with internal QA, H&S, and client governance procedures.
• Engage in networking and client relationship development.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 10+ years of commercial management experience, with at least 5 years on high-value road and/or infrastructure projects.
• Degree qualified in construction, quantity surveying, cost management, engineering, or other RICS-accredited fields.
• MRICS (or equivalent) preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Excellent pre- and post-contract cost management experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and RIPAC.
