Job summary

Dornan Engineering Group in Dublin seeks a seasoned Commercial Leader to drive the commercial management of large-scale projects from pre-construction through final account. You will lead project quantity surveying teams, oversee contract administration, cost control, change management and reporting, and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders to maximise profitability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline.
• 8-10 years' experience in commercial roles within the construction industry.
• Experience with a Tier 1 General Contractor on major commercial, industrial, data centre or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement strategies, cost management and commercial risk mitigation.
• Proven track record of managing project commercial performance and leading high-performing commercial teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

Based in Dublin, this is an exciting opportunity to join and lead our commercial team on flagship projects in the region. You will support delivery on largescale projects for us in Dublin, reporting to our group commercial director.

Your Day Will Include

• Leading the commercial management of large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through to final account agreement.

• Overseeing contract administration, risk management, cost control, change management and commercial reporting.

About You

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline.
• Possess 8-10 years' experience in commercial or quantity surveying roles within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated experience working with a Tier 1 General Contractor on major commercial, industrial, data centre or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement strategies, cost management and commercial risk mitigation.
