Job summary

GEDON™ | Precision Search for Complex Construction is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery on a Dublin-based portfolio spanning commercial, hospitality and residential sectors.

You will mentor junior members of the team, take ownership from pre-construction through final account, manage subcontractor procurement and cost reporting, and drive profitability while sustaining relationships with clients and design teams.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager in main contracting.
• Experience mentoring junior commercial staff and leading teams.
• Experience delivering commercial outcomes across multiple projects and sectors.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial ownership from pre-construction to final account.
• Mentor and develop junior quantity surveyors and commercial staff.
• Oversee procurement, packages and commercial performance across a portfolio of projects.
• Prepare and present cost reports, valuations and cash flow forecasts to senior management.
• Lead on variations and change control negotiations with clients and design teams.
• Build strong relationships with clients, design teams and subcontractors.
• Support tender and pre-contract activity including cost planning and estimating input.
• Monitor profitability and manage commercial risk across the portfolio.

You will take a leading commercial role across a portfolio of projects spanning the commercial, hospitality and residential sectors, working closely with project and site teams to ensure strong commercial performance from procurement through to final account.

What You Need

• Strong experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or established Commercial Manager within main contracting
• Proven track record managing commercial delivery across multiple projects or sectors
• Experience mentoring or managing more junior commercial team members
