Job summary

O’Neill and Brennen in Dublin is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function across multiple construction projects. You will manage a team of quantity surveyors and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The role requires a track record in delivering complex schemes, MRICS/MSCSI or APC progress, and strong IT literacy with CostX, COINS and MS Office. Willingness to travel within RoI and UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years at Senior QS level with Tier 1 Contractor or CM level.
• Proven delivery of complex projects on time and within budget (up to €100m).
• Chartered MRICS/MSCSI or APC process underway.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritise deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills: MS Office and cost-management software.
• Full, clean driving licence with travel across RoI and UK.

Company Overview:

O’Neill and Brennen are currently recruiting for a contractor seeking a Commercial Manager who will be responsible for leading the commercial function across several projects concurrently. You will be managing a team of quantity surveyors and are responsible for ensuring projects are delivered successfully in line with business expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of multiple construction projects from inception through to final account.
• Prepare and review monthly CVRs, forecasts, cash flow reports and project valuations.
• Oversee contract administration, variations, claims and cost control, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Manage procurement, subcontractor packages and commercial performance across projects.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and project teams while protecting the commercial position.
• Lead, mentor and develop the commercial team, ensuring successful project delivery and high performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Sc. Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying with minimum 5+ years at Senior QS level with Tier 1 Contractor, or currently operating at CM level.
• A proven track record in delivery of complex projects on time and within budget, on projects up to €100m.
• Chartered MSCSI / MRICS, or embarking on the APC process.
• Strong Time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• IT literate, with experience in Microsoft Office, Cubit / CostX, COINS.
• Full, clean driving licence with ability to travel within RoI and UK.
