Job summary

ICDS Group, in Leinster, seeks a Commercial Manager as part of a succession plan. Head Office based, with national coverage, initially overseeing commercial delivery of new build infrastructure across sectors.

You will lead all commercial functions across project lifecycles, ensuring strong financial performance, contract compliance and cost control, while guiding senior leadership and managing QS and Estimating staff in various locations.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• Commercial management experience within civil, construction, infrastructure, ICT or power projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting.
• Lead contract negotiations with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor cash flow, valuations, invoicing and project profitability.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with project and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Head Office based, with national coverage, initially overseeing commercial delivery of new build infrastructure (various sectors). With promotional prospects to manage other business units within this large and progressive contractor.

You will lead all commercial functions across project lifecycles, ensuring strong financial performance, contract compliance, and effective cost control, while providing commercial guidance to senior leadership and motivating a team of QS and Estimating staff in various locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Lead contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor cash flow, valuations, invoicing, and project profitability.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with project and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or proven civil engineering, construction, electrical, power engineering or relates experience.
• Commercial management expertise within civil, construction, infrastructure, ICT, or power related projects.
• Minimum of 7 year’s experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of power generation, infrastructure solutions; in-depth experience not essential.
