Job summary

Search Talent seeks a Commercial Lead to oversee the commercial delivery of multiple high-value steel construction projects in Ireland. You will lead commercial performance, work with senior leadership to maximise profitability and ensure successful delivery.

The role includes leading tendering and estimating, contract negotiation, cost control, budgeting and financial reporting, as well as managing variations and final accounts across a busy project portfolio.

Qualifications

• A Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar qualification.
• Strong contractual and commercial knowledge.
• Experience leading commercial teams.
• Track record of delivering profitable construction projects.

We're partnering with a well-established and growing specialist contractor delivering some of Ireland's most complex structural steel projects. Due to continued expansion, they're looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Lead to oversee the commercial delivery of multiple high-value projects.

The Role

You'll lead the commercial performance of several live projects while working closely with senior leadership to maximise profitability and ensure successful project delivery.

You'll have responsibility for:

• Leading the commercial delivery of multiple construction projects
• Managing tendering and estimating activities
• Contract negotiation and commercial risk management
• Cost control, budgeting and financial reporting
• Variations, claims and final accounts
• Supporting and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff
• Building strong long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with experienced commercial professionals who have worked within one or more of the following:

• Structural Steel
• Main Contracting
• Heavy Civil Engineering
• Large Commercial Projects

You'll ideally have:

• A Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar qualification
