Job summary

Apleona GmbH in Dublin 14 is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our team. The role focuses on profitability, KPI monitoring, budgeting, and financial reporting for key client accounts.

You will partner with operational, finance and commercial teams to provide financial insight, drive contract performance, and support improvements in profitability. Strong Excel and Navision experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Third level business/accounting/commerce degree preferred.
• Excel modelling experience and Navision knowledge advantageous.
• Experience in commercial analytics and strong influencing skills required.
• Proven track record of results and high PC literacy.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management with multi-priority handling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekly/monthly profitability figures for designated client accounts.
• Monitor and improve customer KPIs and profitability.
• Provide management information for commercial decision making.
• Support margin protection and account growth through monthly reviews.
• Assist with annual budgets and re-forecasts; ensure reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with operations and finance to improve contract performance and profitability.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost analysis reports for customers.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data; investigate variances.
• Roll out best practice commercial finance practices across accounts.
• Prepare and review weekly and monthly financial reports.

Job description

At Apleona, We are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Analyst to be based in Dublin 14

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:30 -17:00

Main duties and responsibilities

• Oversee and follow up on all weekly and monthly profitability figures associated with your designated client accounts.
• Overseeing the monitoring and improving Customer KPI's/Profitability.
• Provide management information for improved commercial decision making - that is accurate, timely, accessible, insightful, and robust.
• Margin protection and tracking of account growth. Maintained through overseeing and conducting monthly commercial performance meetings.
• Responsible for the Annual Account Budgets & any re-forecasts required. Ensure reporting and monitoring of performance against the budget.
• Partner with operational, finance, and commercial teams to provide financial insight, resolve commercial issues, and support improvements in contract performance and profitability. Oversee the development and maintain a detailed cost analysis report as required by customers and business to ensure accuracy in reported numbers.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of commercial and financial information through the review, validation, and reconciliation of financial data, investigating variances and resolving issues to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
• Roll out best practice commercial finance practices across specific accounts, category management, and financial reporting.
• Preparation and review of weekly and monthly financial reports.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ideally, a Third Level Business/Accounting or Commerce Degree
• Excel modelling experience and working knowledge of Navision an advantage.
• Previous experience in commercial analytics and strong influencing skills
• Proven track record of results and excellent PC literacy skills required.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills with the ability to manage several priorities at once will be required as will a high level of flexibility with a high level commitment to success.
