Job summary

Apleona UK in Dublin is seeking a Finance Manager to provide financial insight and challenge to drive profitable growth. You will partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure commercially sound deals, robust forecasting and strong contract performance.

The role focuses on acting as a finance business partner, leading budgeting/forecasting, KPI development, and cost control, while driving improvements in reporting and financial models. A collaborative, high-impact environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Ideally third level degree in business/accounting or commerce.
• Professional qualification preferred.
• Experience in finance with a strong focus on commercial / FP&A / business partnering.
• Excel modelling experience helpful.
• Strong influencing skills and proven results track record.
• Working knowledge of Navision an advantage.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as finance business partner to Operations team.
• Provide analysis, insight and recommendations on revenue, margin and costs.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting for revenue, margins and overheads.
• Monitor performance vs budget/forecast and explain variances.
• Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards for performance tracking.
• Support monthly/quarterly performance reviews with financial commentary.
• Analyze contract profitability at customer and project level.
• Collaborate with Operations to optimise contract performance and margins.
• Lead and motivate a team of commercial analysts.
• Foster a collaborative 'one team' culture with stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data for commercial activities.
• Support month-end close processes related to contracts and projects.
• Drive reporting and financial model improvements (bid models, P&Ls, dashboards).
• Support cross-functional projects (systems, process redesign, cost-saving).
• Share best practices and enhance financial literacy with AI solutions.

• Apleona is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to work in Dublin 14.

  Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm.

  Role Purpose:

  This role is responsible for providing financial insight and challenge to drive profitable growth. The role partners closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure commercially sound deals, robust forecasting and strong contract performance.

  Main duties and responsibilities

  • Act as finance business partner to Operations team
  • Provide analysis, insight and recommendations on revenue, margin and costs.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for revenue, margins and overheads within assigned areas.
  • Monitor performance versus budget/forecast, explaining variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to track commercial and financial performance.
  • Support monthly/quarterly performance reviews with clear and concise financial commentary.
  • Analyse contract profitability at customer and project level.
  • Work with Operations teams to optimise contract performance (pricing, indexation, rebates, delivery optimisation) to protect and grow margin.
  • Lead and motivate team of commercial analysts.
  • Build a collaborative, "one team" culture and strong relationships with both commercial and non-commercial colleagues.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial data relevant to commercial activities
  • Support month-end close processes (accruals, provisions, revenue recognition assessments) related to contracts and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls and relevant regulations.
  • Drive improvements in reporting, tools and financial models (e.g. standard bid models, contract P&Ls, dashboards).
  • Support or lead cross-functional projects (system implementations, process redesign, cost-saving initiatives).
  • Share best practice and help build financial literacy across commercial and operational teams through the implementation of AI solutions.
