Job summary

BD’s MMS Software Solutions team is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, test, and maintain cloud-connected software capabilities for a next‑generation medication management platform. You’ll work in a cross-functional Agile team on APIs, device integrations, and platform services, while upholding quality, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering and 1-4 years of relevant software development experience.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented design, APIs, source control, automated testing, and software-development lifecycle practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot software using logs, debugging tools, and structured problem-solving methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop new software functionality using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, SQL, and REST-based APIs.
• Implement application, service, and integration features for MMS Software Solutions products and shared platform services.
• Create unit, integration, and automated tests to support software quality goals.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, PI Planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
