Job summary

BD is seeking a Software Engineer II to develop, test, and maintain software for MMS Software Solutions, BD's next-generation medication management platform. You will contribute to cloud-connected applications, APIs, and device integrations within a cross-functional Agile team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 1–4 years of software development experience.
• Experience with object-oriented design, APIs, source control, automated testing, and SDLC practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot software using logs and debugging tools.
• Strong communication within a cross-functional, geographically distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Develop new software functionality using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, SQL, and REST APIs.
• Implement features for MMS Software Solutions products and shared services.
• Create unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot defects and perform root-cause investigations.
• Follow engineering standards, cybersecurity controls, and patterns.
• Maintain documentation, requirements traceability, and test evidence.
• Collaborate with product management, quality engineering, systems engineering, cybersecurity, DevOps, UX, and others.
