Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a software engineer to join its Patient Care Systems team in Ireland. You will develop across the stack to improve reliability and velocity, collaborating with peers to design scalable solutions and troubleshoot production incidents with a blameless post‑mortem mindset.

You should have 2+ years in software delivery with C# or Java, AWS experience, Kubernetes, and strong CI/CD skills. SQL experience and on‑call readiness are also required for this role.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in Computer Engineering/Science or technically related.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
• 2+ years experience delivering software using C#, Java, or similar languages.
• 1+ years of experience in a public cloud environment (preferably AWS)
• 1+ years of experience developing applications leveraging Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source code control and artifact tooling (git, JFrog, etc.)
• Experience with SQL
• Ability to participate in an on‑call rotation

Responsibilities

• Develop software and solutions across the stack that improve product reliability and product velocity.
• Collaborate with team to design Simple, Scalable, and Reliable solutions.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and participate in blameless post‑mortems and follow‑through.
• Have a passion for product engineering mindset, where the customer might be an internal or external customer.
