Job summary

PGIM Ireland is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Letterkenny to build scalable apps for Finance, Compliance and HR. The role collaborates with development teams across AWS/Azure, on-prem, and cloud platforms, delivering CI/CD pipelines and IaC using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and CloudFormation.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in DevOps, strong Python/JavaScript/Java skills, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes, Jira, and related tooling.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of proven experience in DevOps Engineering
• Experience with deploying and managing services in AWS/Azure
• Strong understanding of source control and git - branching schemes, merge types, conflict resolutions
• Experience in developing workflow in CI/CD orchestration tools (GitHub Actions)
• Familiarity with various DevOps domains: Software development processes (Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, Shell, Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-Code)
• Issue tracking and versioning (Jira)
• Package managers (pip, npm, uv)
• Build tools (Gradle, Maven)
• Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Artifact repositories (Artifactory, ECR, Nexus)
• Deployment tools (CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform)
• Infrastructure and deployment targets (Cloud, datacenters, containers, SaaS, PaaS)
• Ability to perform within a scrum team as well as working independently.

Responsibilities

• Build out scalable applications to support Portfolio Management, Compliance, Finance, Data Governance, Operational Risk, and HR teams
• Work with DevOps engineers to implement CI/CD processes, automation, and IaC in multi-platform environment (on-prem, AWS, Azure)
• Develop automated infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, source code management and new ways to operate and collaborate
• Use programming languages including Python, Shell/Power scripting, Groovy, CloudFormation and Terraform
