Job summary

PGIM Ireland is seeking an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our hybrid team in Letterkenny. The role focuses on CI/CD, platform engineering and operational excellence across on‑prem, AWS and Azure.

You will standardize CI/CD with GitHub Actions, automate builds, tests, security checks and progressive delivery, while implementing IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation. Strong collaboration and FinOps oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering.
• Proficient in deploying, managing and monitoring services in AWS/Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub and feature branching strategies.
• Designing and operating CI/CD platforms with GitHub Actions; integrating legacy tools as needed.
• Understanding networking, DNS, and inter-service messaging.
• Experience with microservices and observability design for production.
• Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, logging/monitoring, and incident response.
• Experience applying FinOps concepts in AWS/Azure and communicating cost drivers.
• Familiarity with software engineering domains and tooling (Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, Shell; Terraform, CloudFormation).

Responsibilities

• Build scalable applications to support multiple teams including Portfolio Management, Compliance, Finance, and HR.
• Standardize CI/CD using GitHub Actions; implement automated quality gates and progressive delivery.
• Develop automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Embed security controls into workflows and enable audit-ready logging and monitoring.
• Define and operationalize SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, on-call readiness).
• Collaborate with engineering and leadership on FinOps practices and cost optimization.
• Drive DevSecOps alignment with security teams and improve platform hardening.
