Sabeo in Dublin is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer for a permanent, hybrid role. You will help automate and develop a scalable cloud platform, reporting to the Software Engineering Manager.

The role emphasizes cloud technologies, automation, SRE practices, and working within an Agile team to deliver production-grade solutions. Responsibilities include IaC with Terraform or Azure Bicep, IAM and security, monitoring with Azure tools, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar Cloud/DevOps role.
3rd level qualification (honours degree) in a related discipline.
Fluent in English (written and verbal).
Experience with Terraform and Azure Bicep.
Experience with Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
Knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS), Docker.
Strong automation and SDLC/Agile practices.

Responsibilities

Implement best-of-breed, scalable solutions according to defined patterns and practices.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write and manage declarative infrastructure using Terraform or Azure Bicep.
Security & Compliance: Implement IAM, network security groups, and encryption protocols.

Cloud Platform Engineer,Permanent position, Hybrid remote 2 days a week onsite in Dublin City Center. Reports to the Software Engineering Manager.

Role Description

We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer to work with the growing Platform team. You will be responsible for automating and developing a scalable cloud platform, reporting to an Engineering Manager. Candidates will have a strong cloud engineering background and experience in automation, SRE, Agile methodologies, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have proven experience: Building and supporting scalable, resilient cloud-based architectures Automating based on established patterns and practices Migration of on-premises applications to the cloud Working as part of an Agile team and delivering high-quality production-grade solutions.

Responsibilities

Implement best-of-breed, scalable solutions according to defined patterns and practices
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write and manage declarative infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Azure Bicep
Security & Compliance: Implement identity and access management (IAM), network security groups, and encryption protocols
Monitor and manage technical operations and platform reliability using Azure-native tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud)
Implement automation solutions using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, and Azure-native services

Key Strengths

Experience in Containerisation Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, etc.
CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with building and optimising automated deployment workflows via Azure DevOps or Jenkins
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for Azure resource deployment
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices
Experience working in Agile environments alongside software development and security teams
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience and skills

Essential Skills

2 plus years' experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps/Platform role
Proficient in pipeline architecture and automation; experience with Azure DevOps being preferred
Knowledge and experience of Terraform, Helm, Kusto Query Language (KQL), Bash, and PowerShell
Good knowledge of System Architectures, Software Engineering, and DevOps / Agile practices - experience of Agile Methodologies and operating in agile / scrum-based teams
Excellent team player, collaborative, and supportive
Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Fluent in English written and verbal

Necessary Qualifications / Skills
