A leading medical device organisation is expanding its orthopaedics team in the Munster region, with a focus on Cork. The Clinical Support Specialist will provide expert clinical and technical product support during procedures and throughout the customer journey.

You will be a trusted clinical resource, helping ensure excellent patient outcomes while contributing to the growth of the business in orthopaedics. Prior theatre-based clinical experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Clinical qualification (nursing or physiotherapy) with interest in orthopaedics.
• Experience in orthopaedics or hip/knee reconstructive surgery preferred.
• Willingness to work in a theatre-based clinical support role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Professional, customer-focused approach and excellent organisational skills.

A leading medical device organisation is seeking an ambitious and clinically focused Clinical Support Specialist to join its high-performing orthopaedics team.

The Role

You will support a market-leading orthopaedic portfolio across hospitals in Munster, with your main focus being on Cork. You will play a key role in supporting surgeons, theatre teams, and healthcare professionals by providing expert clinical and technical product support during procedures and throughout the customer journey.

The successful candidate will become a trusted clinical resource for customers, helping to ensure excellent patient outcomes while contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing clinical and technical support during orthopaedic procedures.
• Supporting surgeons, theatre staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams with product usage and best practice.
• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders across assigned accounts.
• Delivering product education and training to healthcare professionals.
• Supporting new product launches and implementation initiatives.
• Maintaining detailed product knowledge and staying informed of market developments.
• Collaborating with sales colleagues to maximise opportunities across the territory.
• Managing administrative responsibilities accurately and efficiently.
• Planning and prioritising daily activities to meet customer and business requirements.

About You

You are a motivated healthcare professional with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in orthopaedics and medical technology. You enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and delivering exceptional support in a fast-paced clinical environment.

You will have:

• A relevant clinical qualification (for example nursing or physiotherapy)
• Clinical experience, ideally within orthopaedics, hip and knee reconstruction, or a related surgical specialty.
• The ability and willingness to work in a theatre-based clinical support role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A professional, customer-focused approach.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• A collaborative team mindset.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
• A full, clean driving licence.

Experience with navigation, robotics, digital surgery, or computer-assisted surgical technologies would be advantageous but is not essential.
