Match Recruitment is recruiting an FNOL Claims Handler for a Dublin-based, full-time permanent role. You will be the first contact for new claims, capturing essential details and setting up files for the next teams. The position offers a clear path into motor damage or personal injury handling over time.

This hybrid role features a Dublin 8 office with substantial remote work. Salary ranges from €35,000 to €45,000 DOE, with a supportive team and opportunities for progression within the claims

Formación

• Experience in insurance claims or customer-facing role.
• APA/CIP is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with a calm professional manner.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Be the first point of contact for new claimants via phone, email, and online channels.
• Gather and verify incident details and parties involved.
• Record and maintain claim data in the claims management system.
• Explain the claims process and set claimant expectations.
• Perform initial claim assessment and flag potential fraud indicators.
• Liaise with claimants, solicitors, insurers and third parties to progress claims.
• Hand over to Damage/Personal Injury teams with complete files.
• Meet targets for call handling, quality and turnaround times.
• Comply with GDPR and regulatory requirements.

Description:

Our client, a Dublin-based claims management company handling motor claims in conjunction with solicitors, is looking for an FNOL Claims Handler to join their growing team.

You'll be the first point of contact for new claims, capturing accurate information at the outset and setting each claim up correctly for the teams who take it forward. This is a great entry point into a claims career, with scope to progress into motor damage or personal injury handling over time.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for new claimants, taking first notification of loss by phone, email and online channels
• Gather and verify the details of the incident, the parties involved and any supporting documentation
• Accurately record and maintain claim information on the claims management system
• Explain the claims process clearly and manage claimants' expectations from the outset
• Carry out an initial assessment of each claim and flag red flags or potential fraud indicators for escalation
• Liaise with claimants, solicitors, insurers and third parties to progress claims
• Hand claims over to the Damage and Personal Injury teams with complete, accurate files
• Meet agreed targets for call handling, quality and turnaround times
• Work in line with company procedures, GDPR and regulatory requirements

About you

• Previous experience in insurance claims or a customer-facing insurance role
• APA qualified, or working towards APA/CIP, is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills with a calm, professional and empathetic telephone manner
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working with claims management systems and databases
• Able to manage a busy workload, independently and as part of a team
• Awareness of Irish insurance regulation and compliance requirements
