RECRUITERS in Dublin is assisting an Irish insurer to hire a Motor Claims Handler. The role involves managing motor claims from start to finish, taking ownership, gathering information, assessing liability, and settling claims within your authority.

You will be the main contact for customers, brokers and service providers, guiding them through the process with clear, supportive communication. Hybrid model with two onsite days and ongoing training to grow your career.

Qualifications

• Experience in claims handling or in the insurance industry.
• APA (Personal & Commercial) or CIP is essential.
• Strong communication skills and ability to stay organized.
• Customer-first mindset and proactive, team-oriented approach.
• Experience with brokers or insurers is valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage motor claims from start to finish, taking ownership and settling claims within your authority.
• Be the main point of contact for customers, brokers and service providers.
• Guide claimants through the process with clear, supportive communication.
• Make informed decisions, identify fraud indicators and maintain records.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to workflow improvements.
• Liaise with loss adjusters, solicitors and partners when needed.

What the role looks like day‑to‑day

• Managing motor claims from start to finish , taking ownership, gathering the right information, assessing liability, and settling claims within your authority.
• Being the main point of contact for customers, brokers, and service providers, and guiding them through the process in a clear, supportive way.
• Making informed decisions, spotting potential fraud indicators, and keeping accurate records.
• Working closely with colleagues, helping with workflow, and contributing to a positive team environment.
• Liaising with loss adjusters, solicitors, and other partners when needed.
• Getting involved in training, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What they’re looking for

• Experience in claims handling or experience in the insurance industry (broker or insurer). - Motor insurance, travel insurance, home insurance, car insurance, commercial insurance, personal insurance.
• APA (Personal & Commercial) or CIP — this one is a must.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to stay organised.
• Someone who enjoys problem‑solving and has a genuine customer‑first mindset.
