Job summary

Intact Insurance Ireland DAC in Dublin is seeking a Recovery Claims Handler to join our team. The role is full-time and can be office-based or hybrid after training in our Dublin office.

You will review and assess motor damage claims, communicate with customers by phone, and work with service providers to progress settlements, with scope to recover outlays where possible. Training is provided and progression is rewarded by our rewards scheme.

Qualifications

• APA qualification preferred and CIP being pursued.
• 1–2 years' motor damage claims experience preferred.
• Confident, enthusiastic and professional phone manner.
• Ability to communicate with customers by phone and multitask.
• Ability to work independently on assigned portfolio to meet targets.
• Experience with Word and Excel is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess motor damage claims as part of claims recovery.

Customer Claims Recovery Handler

We are currently hiring for a Recovery Claims Handler to join our team based in Dublin. The role is a full-time position and can be office-based or hybrid following training period. Training takes place in our Dublin office in Dundrum.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will spend most of your time reviewing and assessing claims
• Having high levels of empathy and understanding for our customers
• Depending on your level of experience this will involve taking claim notifications over the phone, providing updates on claims, and working with customers and service providers to progress claims towards settlement, as well as actively pursuing recovery of our outlay in cases where we have recovery opportunities
• Managing customer interactions in an efficient, courteous, and timely manner to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction
• Working proactively with service providers to ensure fair and efficient investigation and evaluation of liability and damage and agreeing appropriate repair, replacement, or reimbursement.
• Supporting more experienced colleagues in the handling of complex cases
• Delivering the highest standards of quality and working with your coach to continuously improve

Requirements:

• APA Qualified working toward CIP (preferrable but not required)
• 1-2 years’ experience handling motor damage claims (preferrable but not required)
• Confident, enthusiastic, and professional phone manner
• Ability to communicate with customers over the phone and multitask
• Ability to work independently on assigned portfolio to achieve team performance targets
• Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel desirable but not required
