Job summary

Match Recruitment is assisting a dynamic claims management company in Dublin 8 to recruit a Damage Claims Handler for their motor claims team. The role is hybrid (predominantly remote with one day per week in the office) and focuses on managing motor damage claims through to settlement.

You will assess liability, interact with policyholders, repairers, engineers and insurers, and negotiate costs within client authority limits while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in motor damage or general claims handling.
• Working knowledge of motor claims processes and market practices.
• Strong organisational and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working across multiple client systems.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of motor damage claims from notification through to settlement.
• Assess liability and validity of claims, ensuring appropriate checks are carried out.
• Liaise with policyholders, repairers, engineers and insurers to progress claims efficiently.
• Negotiate repair costs and total loss valuations in line with client authority limits.
• Ensure accurate and timely updates across client and internal claims systems.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Identify and escalte potentially fraudulent claims where appropriate.

Location: Dublin 8, hybrid (predominantly remote, one day per week office-based)
