Job summary

DesignBuild Search are working with one of Irelands leading Civil contractors in Dublin. They seek a Civil Quantity Surveyor to work on significant civil and infrastructure projects and to learn from industry leaders.

The successful applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, 5+ years in civil QS, and proficiency with COINS, Bluebeam, MS Project, and MS Office. Driving licence and travel to sites are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
• Proficient in COINS, Bluebeam, MS Project software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
• Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials and services.
• Monitor project costs and progress, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and provide accurate valuations.
