Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team in County Limerick, Ireland. You will work on multiple projects, ensuring HSQE compliance and contributing to design development and field setting out using GPS/Total Station and CAD.

Responsibilities include coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, tracking programme and budget, and producing technical reports. A degree in Civil Engineering and 2+ years’ experience are required, with a full driving licence and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Ability to work as part of a team in project delivery and engage with suppliers/sub-contractors.
• Ability to use own initiative, solve problems and adjust as issues arise during project delivery.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and use of GPS, Total Station and CAD.
• Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team delivering multiple projects with a “one team” ethos.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards are followed on site.
• Be familiar with HSQE management systems and statutory requirements.
• Cover for project manager when needed and manage day-to-day site operations.
• Understand project programmes and budgets and their impact on overruns.
• Review and develop specifications and drawings and propose design solutions.
