Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Civil Project Manager to lead on-site delivery of civil and building works at our water/wastewater projects in Ireland. The role focuses on HSE compliance, stakeholder liaison and delivering projects on time and within budget.

You will manage procurement, cashflow, and resources, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and uphold lean construction practices. A Level 8 Civil Engineering degree and 5+ years' experience are required, with a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar civil role, preferably in water/wastewater.
• Knowledge of Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations 2013; Managing Safely for Construction Managers preferable.
• Experience in civil works such as bulk earthworks, cast in-situ concrete, precast installations, piping and site finishes.
• Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Ability to engage with customers, suppliers and subcontractors in financial negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HSE & Sustainability standards are adhered to on-site.
• Collaborate with clients, client representatives and third-party agencies.
• Lead the civil and building scope of works.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical and process engineering.
• Represent PSCS on live sites and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Apply Lean Construction and Last Planner to manage projects.
• Monitor performance against programme, budget and HSQE; report monthly.
• Manage procurement of supplies and sub-contracts within budget.
• Oversee cashflow and interim payment applications with Contracts/Commercial Manager.
• Involve in resource management and recruitment; assist tendering opportunities.
• Address client/stakeholder complaints and collect feedback.
• Maintain CPD and up-to-date standards.
