Job summary

TechHeads Executive Search is assisting a Dublin-based, regulated financial services organisation in appointing a Chief Information Officer. The role shapes enterprise technology strategy and governance at executive level, interfacing with the CEO and Board.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing technology function, drive resilience, security and regulatory compliance, and oversee major transformation initiatives to support sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in shaping enterprise technology strategy at CIO/CTO level.
• Experience leading complex technology environments with resilience, security and performance accountability.
• Strong understanding of technology risk, governance and regulatory expectations.
• Commercial judgement to balance innovation, investment, control and execution.
• Credibility to influence at CEO/Board level; leadership to build capable tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with strategic priorities.
• Maintain robust controls for resilience, cyber security, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Ensure governance, risk management and regulatory compliance across technology operations.
• Prioritise transformation and investment to improve scalability and business performance.
• Provide executive leadership to the CEO and board, translating technology into commercial decisions.
• Build a high-performing technology function with clear accountability and delivery discipline.
• Oversee relationships with critical suppliers and third-party technology partners.
