Job summary

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine seeks a Chief Information Officer to lead the strategic development and management of ICT and digital systems. Reporting to the Secretary General, the CIO will be a member of the Management Board and will drive digital transformation across the department.

Qualifications

• A successful track record at senior level of leading and delivering significant technology transformation and of significant achievement and best practice in the management of large ICT projects;

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team of approx. 300 employees located in Dublin, Backweston, Portlaoise and Wexford.
• Champion digital transformation to improve digital services for customers and stakeholders.
• Provide strong strategic leadership to large diverse teams, building capability and organisational culture with robust governance.
• Ensure governance and oversight controls to maintain high performance and integrity.
• Engage with EU and international fora on ICT developments and stakeholder interests.
• Manage large-scale ICT budgets in complex environments with diverse stakeholders.
