Job summary

The Panel is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead a Dublin-based non-life insurance intermediary through authorisation and into launch. You will oversee underwriting, financial control, and regulatory engagement in a hands-on leadership role, shaping a technology-enabled, commercially focused insurance proposition.

The role requires a senior insurance executive capable of navigating Central Bank processes, with a track record of regulatory credibility and strong operational judgement.

Qualifications

• Proven senior experience in commercial non-life insurance.
• Experience with MGA or delegated underwriting authority is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of regulated insurance environments.
• Ability to lead interactions with the Central Bank of Ireland.
• Experience supporting or leading an insurance business through authorisation or registration.

This CEO role offers the chance to shape a pre-authorisation business at a pivotal stage, with responsibility for guiding the company through Central Bank of Ireland registration and into operational launch. You will play a hands-on leadership role across underwriting, financial oversight, and regulatory engagement, helping to build a disciplined, technology-enabled commercial insurance proposition. • Lead the business through the Central Bank of Ireland authorisation process
• Support the firm’s readiness for registration as an insurance intermediary
• Act as the named responsible individual for insurance distribution
• Manage ongoing regulatory relationships with confidence and clarity
• Oversee day-to-day leadership of the business, including underwriting activity, commercial decision-making, and financial control
• Help shape and launch the company’s commercial product offering, including SME and technology startup insurance packages

Requirements

• Proven senior experience in commercial non-life insurance
• Ideally prior exposure to MGA or delegated underwriting authority models
• Strong knowledge of regulated insurance environments
• Ability to lead interactions with the Central Bank of Ireland
• Evidence of having supported or led an insurance business through authorisation, registration, or similar regulatory approval processes
• Professional insurance qualifications such as ACII, FCII, Certified Insurance Practitioner or APA preferred
• Hands-on leader with the judgement, integrity, and capacity expected of a CEO in a regulated setting
