Job summary

O'Donoghue Ring Collection at Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You will prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes across your designated section, while supporting junior staff and maintaining our high standards.

With HACCP knowledge and a proven track record in a 4-star hotel or equivalent, you will collaborate with the Head and Sous Chef on menu development, manage mise en place, and help control costs.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie in a 4-star hotel or similar high-standard kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a busy kitchen.
• Fluency in English required.
• Legal right to work in Ireland.

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Chef de Partie to join the team in the Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa on a full time basis.

About the Role

As Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes that consistently exceed guest expectations. You will work closely with our culinary leadership team to maintain the high standards of our kitchen, support junior staff, and contribute to the ongoing innovation of our food offering.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes across your designated section.
• Supervise and guide Commis and Demi Chefs, supporting their development and ensuring consistent performance.
• Uphold all food hygiene and safety regulations, including HACCP, and ensure your section operates in line with company standards.
• Collaborate with the Head and Sous Chef on menu development, offering seasonal, creative, and cost-effective suggestions.
• Manage mise en place for your section, ensuring readiness for each service.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and apply correct stock rotation practices to minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
• Take part in regular kitchen briefings, training sessions, and team meetings.
• Be adaptable to a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays based on business needs.

About You

• Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie in a 4-star hotel or similar high-standard kitchen is essential.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation and consistency.
• Fluent English is required.
• Candidates must have a legal right to work in Ireland.
