Job summary

CareChoice in Celbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland seeks a Part-Time Catering Assistant at Elm Hall Nursing Home to support meals service for residents. You will help with loading dishwashers, setting tables, cleaning eating areas and assisting on all floors as required.

The role requires availability for varied shifts (days, nights, weekends) and a good level of English. Previous care experience is desirable; you will work as part of a respectful team within a supportive environment and benefit from

Qualifications

• Availability to work varied shift patterns days, nights & weekends across Monday to Sunday is essential.
• Practical experience in a caring capacity desired.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional, caring and empathetic nature.
• Be comfortable working in a sometimes challenging environment.
• Have a good level of English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Meeting agreed on timelines in ensuring crockery, utensils and condiments are collected, washed and available on time for mealtimes.
• Load dishwasher after each serving on all floors, unloading once complete
• Set tables for lunches and teatime on all floors at agreed times
• Transfer trolleys to and from the kitchen in a timely manner inline with service needs
• Clean trolleys before and after each serving
• Stock check on all floors after each serving
• Assist service and cleaning on all floors as required
• Ensuring all serving and eating areas are clean
• Adherence to HACCP guidelines as directed by the Head Chef ensuring all work practices are in line with regulations
• Ensure all the equipment is cleaned to a high standard as directed
• Ensuring waste is to a minimum
• Rotate where necessary to meet the catering demands of the role as directed.
