Care Network Ireland are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants/ Household attendant in acute facility in Co Carlow to join our growing team supporting healthcare services across the public sector. The Role

• Preparing, serving, and delivering meals to patients.
• Supporting kitchen and ward-based catering operations.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
• Following HACCP, infection control, and Health & Safety procedures.
• Working as part of a supportive team to provide a high-quality service.
• Clean patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to high standards.
• Handle laundry duties, including washing and sorting linens and clothing.
• Follow infection control and health & safety protocols.
• Dispose of waste safely and maintain stock of cleaning supplies.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, cleaning, or a healthcare environment is desirable.
• HACCP Level 2 and Patient & Manual Handling.
• A positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Valid right to work documentation, including visa/IRP where applicable.
• International Police Clearance required if you have lived overseas for 6+ months after the age of 16.
• Experience in cleaning or household duties, preferably in healthcare.
• Knowledge of hygiene and infection control.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks.
• Reliable and punctual.
