Job summary

Aramark Ireland is seeking a proactive Catering Assistant to join the Shannon team. You will deliver high-quality food and beverage service, greet customers, and ensure a welcoming experience while upholding Aramark’s standards of safety and hygiene.

You will support fast-paced catering operations, assist with stock, and handle payments, contributing to a positive, efficient service environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced catering environment.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is desirable; training will be provided.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain stamina.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation and brand standards.
• Respond to customer enquiries about products and services in a friendly and informative manner.
• Perform food preparation tasks as directed by line managers, adhering to brand standards and food safety protocols.
• Process payments accurately using designated systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet service timelines and support smooth daily operations.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks and reporting as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced catering environment is essential - Proven ability to work efficiently to timelines and meet service deadlines
• Food Hygiene Certificate – Level 2 is desirable; however, relevant training will be provided - Strong people skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene - Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods during service
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to professional conduct - Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and stock management - Willingness to learn and develop within the catering industry - Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a busy environment
