We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Catering Assistant to join our dynamic catering team in Shannon, Ireland. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional food and beverage services, ensuring every customer receives a warm welcome and high-quality experience. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will support our catering operations whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and customer service. - Serve food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation, and combinations in line with company brand standards

• Respond to customer enquiries about products and services in a friendly and informative manner - Perform food preparation tasks as directed by line managers, adhering to all brand standards and food safety protocols - Process payments accurately and efficiently using designated systems - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet service timelines and support smooth daily operations - Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and reporting as required - Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and customer needs throughout service periods - Contribute to a positive, inclusive working environment by supporting colleagues and maintaining professional conduct

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced catering environment is essential - Proven ability to work efficiently to timelines and meet service deadlines
• Food Hygiene Certificate – Level 2 is desirable; however, relevant training will be provided - Strong people skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene - Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods during service
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to professional conduct - Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and stock management - Willingness to learn and develop within the catering industry - Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a busy environment
