Job summary

eir is seeking a Business Solution Consultant focused on Microsoft to maximise value from CSP customers and attach Microsoft Practice services. The role sits in the Microsoft Practice, spanning 365, Azure, Security and Copilot.

You will collaborate with account managers, pre-sales and practice consultants to shape Microsoft solutions that grow seat value and services revenue. You will analyse licensing data, drive seat activations, and push migration and FinOps opportunities to expand Azure

• Proven experience in a Microsoft-focused technical sales, pre-sales, licensing or solutions role.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft licensing: CSP program, Microsoft 365 and Copilot plans, and Azure commercial models.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate Microsoft capability into customer outcomes and margin.

Responsibilities

• Act as an eir business Microsoft solution and commercial specialist across Microsoft 365, Azure, Security and Copilot.
• Drive CSP effective usage and expansion so customers are on committed terms that protect revenue and provide value.
• Reduce concentration in the base by building Microsoft pipeline beyond existing customers by working with acquisition teams.
• Analyse tenant and license data to find upgrade paths, e.g. Business to E3/E5, security add-ons and Copilot.
• Drive Copilot seat activation and usage so purchased licenses deliver value and renew.
• Grow Azure consumption through migration, modernisation and FinOps-led opportunities.
• Work with pre-sales and practice consultants to shape Microsoft solutions and statements of work.
• Position eir business Microsoft offers such as the Microsoft Intelligence Pathway, and run margin campaigns around them.
• Identify and apply Microsoft deal-level funding and incentives on eligible opportunities.
• Engage to ensure a day-to-day technical relationship with Microsoft's technical, specialist and channel teams on behalf of the Microsoft Practice.
• Provide Microsoft pipeline, CSP and consumption data to Practice leads and the Partner team for partner reviews and joint business planning.

eir business is seeking a Business Solution Consultant to maximise the commercial return from Microsoft solutions sold and managed by eir business. The role is entirely focused on Microsoft and sits within the Microsoft Practice. Microsoft is a key strategic partner across Microsoft 365, Azure, Security and Copilot. The opportunity is to grow the value of every CSP customer: increase license tier and consumption and attach Microsoft Practice services. Outside of the existing base, the approach is the same for new logos. The role requires depth in Microsoft licensing and the technology behind it. The successful candidate will work with account managers, pre-sales and practice consultants to shape Microsoft solutions that grow seat value, Azure consumption and services revenue. Ensuring that every available solution play, funding mechanism, or client benefit is attached.

Expectations From The Role:

• Act as an eir business Microsoft solution and commercial specialist across Microsoft 365, Azure, Security and Copilot.
• Drive CSP effective usage and expansion so customers are on committed terms that protect revenue and provide value.

• Provide Microsoft pipeline, CSP and consumption data to Practice leads and the Partner team for partner reviews and joint business planning.

Requirements For A Successful Application:

• Proven experience in a Microsoft-focused technical sales, pre-sales, licensing or solutions role with a Microsoft partner, distributor or Microsoft itself.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft licensing: CSP program, Microsoft 365 and Copilot plans, and Azure commercial models.
• Strong technical understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, Copilot and Microsoft security (Defender, Entra, Purview).
• Experience growing seat value and consumption across an existing customer base, driving effective usage sales plays.
• Understanding of Microsoft partner incentives and funding programmes, and how they affect deal margin.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g. MS-900, AZ-900, AB-730 or higher) strongly preferred.
• Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to translate Microsoft capability into customer outcomes and margin.
• Experience managing pipeline in a CRM (Dynamics 365 desirable).
