Job summary

The role involves classification, document reviews, and post-entry adjustments within a permanent night-shift schedule.

The position includes billing corrections for duties and taxes, liaising with authorities and clients, and ensuring timely clearance.

Job Description

Job Purpose: To ensure the accurate and timely processing of shipments through customs by preparing documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and complying with all regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entries for import shipments in line with local regulations.
• Classify goods using relevant tariff systems (e.g., HS codes) or customer instructions on file.
• Review shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.) for accuracy for both clearance or Post entry instances.
• Manage post-clearance queries, amendments, and audits.
• Partake in billing process and corrections for duties, taxes, and other applicable charges for DSL discrepancies and Post Entry Corrections
• Liaise with customs authorities, clients, carriers, and internal teams to resolve queries.
• Monitor shipment status and ensure timely process completion.
• Provide excellent customer service and updates to customers/customs.
• Ad hoc task relating to other Brokerage activities within department and General Admin
