Expeditors Ireland—Shannon is seeking a Customs Broker/Advisor to support smooth import/export operations. You will manage customs data, declarations, and client billing within a dynamic global logistics team.

The role requires 1+ years in customs brokerage or related education, strong knowledge of customs procedures, and fluent English. Progressive opportunities and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience within customs brokerage or relevant education essential.
• Knowledge of customs brokerage process and legislation, especially classification, valuation and origin.
• Understanding of ocean, road and air documentation processes.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and computer skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow.
• Enter data accurately into our operational system.
• Track and trace customs files and reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing.
• Comprehend import/export procedures and follow desk-level SOPs.
• Transfer declaration information into the customs entry system for valid declarations.
• Assist with verification and submission of declarations to authorities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations at all times.

Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Custom files and reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing
• Understand all the elements of the import and export customs Desk Level Operating Procedure and correctly interpret this information to fulfill our customer?s instructions and expectations.
• Transfer customs declaration information from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration
• Assist with verification of customs declaration information and the submission of such to the customs authority
• Ensure compliance at all times to regulations

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience within customs brokerage or relevant education essential
• Good knowledge of customs brokerage process, customs legislation - especially with regards to classification, valuation and origin
• Understanding of ocean, road and air documentation process
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Pro-active approach, strong organizational and computer skills
• Good computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word) essential
• Fluent in English essential
