Job summary

ABEC is seeking a Project Engineer to design, specify, and commission biopharmaceutical process and clean utility equipment, while providing engineering support and leading deviation investigations. This role reports to the Project Engineer Team Lead or Engineering Manager and drives project execution to meet income and customer satisfaction goals.

You will review customer specifications, prepare key engineering documentation, and support automation and design deliverables.

Qualifications

Honours BSc or BEng (Level 8) in an Engineering field (Mechanical, Biological, Chemical or equivalent experience).
3 years post graduate Engineering experience in related industry.
Preferred experience of 5 years post graduate Engineering experience working in a BioPharma or Piping systems market and / or direct experience supporting the manufacture and testing of custom equipment, machinery and components driven by customer specifications.
2 years' experience in support of automation and control systems engineering related to bioprocesses preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, specify and commission biopharmaceutical process and clean utility equipment.
Provide engineering support and lead deviation investigations for equipment and manufacturing processes.
Assist Project Manager to attain project operating income, execution plan and customer satisfaction goals.
Prepare and maintain contract files and engineering documentation (e.g., P&ID’s, GA’s, Detailed Design Drawings, BOM's).
Review customer specifications and align with company offer, scope of supply and terms.
Travel to customer job sites domestically and internationally.
