Job summary

Dawn Meats Group, a leading European beef and lamb processor, is recruiting a Beef Boning Hall Line Lead in Kildare Town. You will lead the boning hall production lines to meet product specs while upholding hygiene, safety, quality and cost standards.

You will supervise General Operatives, coordinate with management, and drive efficiency and product quality across the line. This permanent, full-time role emphasizes hands-on leadership, training and performance accountability.

Qualifications

• Knife experience and knowledge of primal cuts.
• Confident leading and guiding a team.
• Good attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication with production and Supervisors/Managers.
• Previous experience in a similar field is desirable; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the daily operation of the Beef Boning Hall.
• Assisting with running of production lines including boning line.
• Support the efficient, effective boning hall operation ensuring targets are met and quality is maintained.
• Ensure output of products is per customer specification.
• Delegate tasks and set deadlines.
• Monitor team performance and report to Boning Hall Manager/Supervisors.
• Motivate team members.
• Identify training needs and provide coaching to employees.
• Assess team performance and provide feedback to employees.
• Listen to feedback and resolve issues or conflicts.
• Assist with training of employees.
• Report any near miss, accident or breach of H&S policies.
• Ensure correct PPE usage and input corrective action.
• On the floor supervision of processes.

The role will have responsibility for providing leadership, direction and support to General Operatives within the team. Working closely with the Management Team as a Line Lead you will have responsibility for the efficiency and effectiveness of the team as well as the Quality of the product produced.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have knife experience and good knowledge of primal cuts.
• You must be confident leading & guiding a team.
• You must have good attention to detail and be able to work to tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills are essential, as you must be able to communicate findings both from and to production and Supervisors / Managers
• Previous experience in a similar field is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
