Job summary

Dawn Meats Group in Kildare Town, Co. Kildare, is seeking a Lamb Boning Hall Line Lead to oversee daily operations in the boning hall and to lead a team of General Operatives in line with safety, quality and productivity standards.

You will work closely with the Boning Hall Manager and Supervisors to ensure targets are met, provide coaching, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. Knife experience and knowledge of primal cuts are essential, with training provided for new team

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the daily operation of the lamb Boning Hall
• Assisting with running of production lines including boning line
• Support the managing of an efficient, effective boning hall operation ensuring that targets are meet and quality is maintained
• Ensure the output of products are per customer specification
• Delegate tasks and set deadlines
• Monitor team performance and report to Boning Hall Manager/Supervisors
• Motivate team members
• Discover training needs and provide coaching to employees
• Assessing team performance and providing feedback to employees
• Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
• Assisting with training of employees
• Report any near miss, accident or breach of company or statutory H&S policies
• Ensure the correct usage of PPE and input corrective action
• On the floor supervision of processes

Job Title: Lamb Boning Hall Line Lead Reporting to: Boning Hall Manager Role Type: Permanent, full time Location: Kildare Town, Co. Kildare Role Summary: Dawn Meats Group is one of Europe's leading beef and lamb processing companies with locations across Ireland, UK, France and continental Europe employing over 8,000 employees. We are currently looking to recruit a Boning Hall Line Leaad in our Lamb Boning Hall. The successful candidate will provide effective support in the running of production lines in accordance with product specification, company standards and procedures regarding Hygiene, Safety, Quality, Quantity and Cost. The role will have responsibility for providing leadership, direction and support to General Operatives within the team. Working closely with the Management Team as a Line Lead you will have responsibility for the efficiency and effectiveness of the team as well as the Quality of the product produced.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have knife experience and good knowledge of primal cuts.
• You must be confident leading & guiding a team.
• You must have good attention to detail and be able to work to tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills are essential, as you must be able to communicate findings both from and to production and Supervisors / Managers
• Previous experience in a similar field is desirable but not essential as training will be provided INDLP
