Job summary

Talbot Hotel Carlow is seeking a Bar and Bistro Manager to lead the bar and dining operations, delivering exceptional service that aligns with the Talbot Collection standards and the 4-star guest experience.

You will manage staff, oversee cost controls including wages, partner with Sales for events and work with the Head Chef on food quality, while driving recruitment and appraisals in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience managing a venue that serves food and beverage.
• 2+ years experience managing a team; strong financial acumen and rostering/wages/stock/margins experience.

Responsibilities

• Set and implement Food and Beverage standards as agreed with the General Manager.
• Ensure guests are greeted on arrival and needs catered for.
• Control costs, particularly wages.
• Liaise with Sales and Marketing regarding events.
• Liaise with Head Chef on food quality.
• Train staff in agreed standards.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment and appraisals.
