Job summary

Mercer Investments is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join the MGIE Compliance Team in Ireland. You will monitor investment restrictions, liaise with fund managers and depositaries, and oversee regulatory reporting and due diligence for Mercer Funds across Ireland and abroad, including Germany and Sweden.

Qualifications

• Broad understanding of legal/regulatory requirements in MGIE.
• MiFID, UCITS and AIFMD knowledge related to Mercer Funds.
• Good knowledge of fund structures and asset classes.
• Minimum of three years investment compliance experience.
• Takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities assigned.
• Ability to prioritize activities while working on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work within a small, fast-growing team and contribute to its development.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluent English essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor investment restriction and guideline breaches for Mercer Funds in Ireland.
• Review investment vehicles against regulations and fund documentation.
• Liaise with fund managers regarding investment issues on Mercer products.
• Support liaison with the fund depositary and review regulatory logs/reports.
• Oversee quarterly questionnaires and due diligence of investment managers.
• Review fund documentation ahead of launches and ongoing.
• Develop and maintain policies promoting integrity, risk management and excellence.
