Job summary

Freudenberg Group Ireland is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead the evening shift production team, ensuring safety, quality, GMP, productivity and waste targets are met. You will plan resources, manage the daily schedule and coach operators to sustain standard work.

The role emphasizes Lean and continuous improvement with strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. Prior experience in regulated manufacturing and knowledge of ISO 13485 is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience leading or supervising a team in a manufacturing setting.
• Willingness to work an evening shift and own production activities during these hours.
• Engineering, Science or related technical qualification is advantageous.
• Experience in medical device/pharma or regulated manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820/QMSR is a plus.
• Strong leadership with coaching, motivation and development skills.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing performance incl. productivity, quality and waste.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to progress as the manufacturing operation grows.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production KPIs and drive improvements in efficiency, quality and output.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement activities (5S, problem-solving, waste reduction).
• Ensure processes and documentation meet validated procedures and quality requirements.
• Identify and escalate equipment or process issues with Engineering and Quality.
• Support New Product Introductions, change controls, trials and validation.
• Support quality activities including CAPA, audits and investigations.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork and accountability.

• Plan resources and manage the daily production schedule to ensure manufacturing and customer requirements are met.
• Train, coach and develop Production Operators, building capability across the team and ensuring standard work is consistently followed.
• Monitor production performance and KPIs, taking action to improve efficiency, quality and output.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement activities, including 5S, problem-solving and waste reduction initiatives.
• Ensure manufacturing processes and documentation are completed accurately and in accordance with validated procedures and quality requirements.
• Identify and escalation process or equipment issues, working closely with Engineering and Quality to implement effective solutions.
• Support New Product Introductions, change controls, product trials and validation activities.
• Support quality activities including CAPA, audits and investigations.
• Promote a positive culture of safety, quality, teamwork and accountability across the production area..

Qualifications:

• Previous experience leading or supervising a team within a manufacturing environment, ideally 2 to 3 years.
• Comfortable working an evening shift and taking ownership of production activities during these hours.
• Engineering, Science or another relevant technical qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical or another regulated manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820/QMSR would be an advantage.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop team members.
• Good understanding of manufacturing performance, including productivity, efficiency, quality and waste.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement would be beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
