Job summary

Freudenberg Medical Ireland Ltd. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the evening shift production team. You will ensure safety, quality, GMP compliance, productivity and waste targets are met while coordinating the daily schedule and resources.

You will coach and develop operators, monitor KPIs, drive lean initiatives (5S, problem-solving) and support new product introductions, changes, validations and quality investigations. Strong leadership and regulatory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a manufacturing team (2–3 years preferred).
• Comfortable with evening shift ownership of production.
• Engineering/Science qualification advantageous.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing (medical devices/pharma) desirable.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 or FDA QMS is a plus.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the evening shift production team, ensuring Safety, Quality, GMP, Productivity and Waste targets are consistently achieved.
• Plan resources and manage the daily production schedule to ensure manufacturing and customer requirements are met.
• Train, coach and develop Production Operators, building capability across the team and ensuring standard work is consistently followed.
• Monitor production performance and KPIs, taking action to improve efficiency, quality and output.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement activities, including 5S, problem-solving and waste reduction initiatives.
• Ensure manufacturing processes and documentation are completed accurately and in accordance with validated procedures and quality requirements.
• Identify and escalation process or equipment issues, working closely with Engineering and Quality to implement effective solutions.
• Support New Product Introductions, change controls, product trials and validation activities.
• Support quality activities including CAPA, audits and investigations.
• Promote a positive culture of safety, quality, teamwork and accountability across the production area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading or supervising a team within a manufacturing environment, ideally 2 to 3 years.
• Comfortable working an evening shift and taking ownership of production activities during these hours.
• Engineering, Science or another relevant technical qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical or another regulated manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820/QMSR would be an advantage.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop team members.
• Good understanding of manufacturing performance, including productivity, efficiency, quality and waste.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement would be beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
